January: Planning, Playing, and Pressing Pause
Share
January has always been a quieter month at Sweeet Bippy—but in the very best way.
This time of year always feels like a deep breath. A chance to slow down, look around, and ask myself what I really want the year ahead to feel like. Not just what I want to make, but how I want to live while making it.
This January has been all about planning my Sweeet Bippy year. I’ve been mapping out which shows to attend, setting intentions, and giving real thought to where I want the brand to grow.
I’ve also finally been trying some of the ideas that have been rattling around in my head for months. You know the ones—the “someday” ideas scribbled in notebooks, whispered while falling asleep, or revisited again and again while working at the bench. January felt like permission to experiment, to play, and to see what might come next without pressure.
A big part of this month has been organizing the workshop… and honestly, my life too. Clearing out clutter, putting tools back where they belong, and creating a space that feels calm and inspiring has made such a difference. There’s something powerful about putting things in order—it clears mental space as much as physical space. When my hands know where to reach, my mind feels freer to create.
And just as important as all of that: resting.
January gave me the gift of slowing down and enjoying time with friends and family. Long conversations, shared meals, laughter, and quiet moments that don’t show up on a to-do list but somehow fuel everything else. This season reminded me that rest isn’t a reward—it’s part of the work. 🙏
As the year begins to unfold, I’m carrying all of this with me: intention, curiosity, organization, and gratitude. Sweeet Bippy is growing thoughtfully, rooted in quality, creativity, and joy—and I’m so excited to bring you along for what’s ahead.
Here’s to a year made with care 🤍
